Perseus, or Percy for short, is an approximately 2 year old Pekingese/Keeshond Blend. He is full grown and weighs approximately 12 lbs. Percy was rescued from being euthanized at Animal Care Services San Antonio. He is neutered, has all his shots, is microchipped, and is heartworm negative (on heartworm preventive). Percy was very nervous in the kennels, but in my home is very gentle and very quiet. He has a beautiful, very light fawn coat with a black face. He has semi erect ears and long fur. With some brushing and occasional grooming, Percy's coat will become more and more beautiful, until he is a ball of fluff! He wags his tail when I ... (Read More)speak to him gently, and would bond with someone who is gentle and kind. Percy will not require another dog companion, and would be happiest in a one-dog home that has no small children. He is not an active dog, and does not require a large backyard, although a home with a small yard would be nice. Percy does relatively well on the leash, and is crate trained. In a loving, forever home Percy will thrive and become a wonderful family member. When he looks up at me he absolutely melts my heart and he has the most endearing brown eyes. Although Percy has probably had a difficult life so far, he is still friendly and sweet. GOD'S DOG'S does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Each dog comes spay/neutered (fixed), up to date on vaccinations and rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice. They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative. ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED (including transport from San Antonio to Washington)IN THE ADOPTION FEE OF $350.00. All our pups and dogs are socialized and we try to provide you a good understanding of the dogs personality. Please visit our website which is still under construction, but you can see dogs as they come into our rescue. The website is updated as often as possible: www.yourtexasconnection.weebly.com To receive an application and to learn how to adopt Percy please contact Debbie at lincorjack@yahoo.com Our next transport arrived Oct 4 in WA...transport leaves every three weeks.     Tikva the Keeshond was a therapy dog used at Ground Zero after the 9/11 attacks for the benefit of the rescue workers. Victorians nicknamed the Keeshond the Overweight Pomeranian. Keeshonden are considered by some to be a bit psychic, since they are so sensitive and sympathetic toward people.
